Sales Operations Specialist

The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for providing the Infinia ML Business Development team with reliable and high-quality operational support. This position reports to the Director of Business Development, but also works closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the Marketing team. The role is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing, cutting-edge machine learning company where you will build the operating efficiency and success of the sales function.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Supports all aspects of the sales cycle through the entire prospect-to-close process to boost the operational efficiency of the Business Development team.
  • Manages the status and data integrity of the HubSpot CRM system.
  • Coordinates the efforts between the Business Development, legal, and finance teams to get Statements of Work, contracts, and partnership agreements signed.
  • Develops process improvements for sales support and identifies opportunities for efficiency within the business development lifecycle.
  • Tracks each step of the deal and revenue cycle and compiles reports for the Infinia ML leadership team.
  • Conduct certain client-facing account management activities to contribute to customer success
  • Plans and coordinates sales calls, meetings, and follow-up activities throughout the business development process.
  • Responds to and directs prospect and client inquiries to appropriate members of the business development team.
  • Assists with the preparation of prospect- and client-facing presentations
  • Assists with miscellaneous sales, marketing, and administrative duties as necessary for the business development team. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Customer-centric orientation with the ability to build relationships via email, telephone, or in-person interactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, adherence to deadlines, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Professional email writing and speaking skills necessary to communicate clearly and accurately to both internal and external clients.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and the rest of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working with a CRM system, ideally HubSpot.
  • Good research skills with an ability to learn new, complex business challenges quickly.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  •  3–5 years of experience in a B2B sales or sales support role
  • Conceptual familiarity with machine learning, AI, and big data.
