Infinia ML is seeking a Junior IT Operations Specialist with a desire to join a new and growing company focused on cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning technology. We provide our customers with immediate business impact through technology solutions that are tailored to their data and business needs. You will work with a dynamic team of researchers, engineers, and data scientists, collaborating on delivery of new machine learning algorithms and their application to multiple fields including human resources, job matching, natural language processing, optical character recognition, and business intelligence. We are looking for individuals who are excited about being exposed to new problems and challenges while working in a flexible and versatile environment.

 

Typical activities will include:

  • Designing, creating, and supporting corporate infrastructure and tooling for a small (< 40 employees) technology-intensive business
  • Distilling fast-moving requirements into tangible tasks and technology solutions
  • Technology onboarding for new employees, including provisioning new hardware and software
  • Respond to support tickets for hardware and software issues
  • Crossover into product engineering, including devops concepts like CI/CD, automation, and monitoring
  • Shaping our technology culture by coming up with ideas, tools, and infrastructure wherever you see a problem to be solved
  • Identifying needs of other teams and building tools, workflows, and systems to support them
  • Owning projects end-to-end: from design, through development, to production
  • Working with security teams to keep out bad actors while enabling the team to get work done

 

Specific technologies and skills we expect this candidate to have experience with:

  • Heavily used: Google’s GSuite, Linux, MacOS, AWS, Docker, Python
  • Networking principles such as DNS, TCP/IP, ICMP, ARP, TTL, and MTU
  • Role-based security, auditing, and adding layers of isolation
  • AWS, Azure, and / or other cloud and cluster-based Infrastructure
  • Configuration Management such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, etc.
  • Container and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
